During one of the beach clean-ups we (Impact Project) have organised, I met Layana, the owner of Swap-a-porter, whose business was offering flawless clothes forgotten in the closet in exchange for digital coins that could be traded for clothes of the same value available in the digital platform. Months later, we did a few partnerships, such as an online Panel Discussion about Compulsive Consumption, participated in a few swaps on her platform and she also participated in one of our lives on Instagram to talk about sustainable business. One day she invited me to a Christmas Swap Party she was organising to replace the Kris Kringle, and she invited some of her swap friends as well. On that night, we had a nice talk about the Impact Project and Swap a Porter working together to organise a Clothing Swap Party, a project none of us had done before and it required a lot of work. It was a challenge worth paying for, Our goal was to have a fun clothing swap that reminded us of a pyjama party, exchanging clothes but with a DJ playing and drinks while reducing our carbon footprint by promoting a sustainable event.
A couple of months later, we were contacting DJs we knew, possible venues for the event and having weekly meetings to keep track of what needed to be done and how we would promote the event.
Mari (Impact Project CEO), Layana and I brainstormed the bigger details together and we separated our tasks according to our expertise.
I was responsible for the content creation and calendar of the marketing campaign, talking to the venue and DJ with Layana and possible partnerships that could promote the event. Furthermore, having some experience with events made me responsible for organising the event schedule, supervising and briefing the staff during the event day and being in contact with the venue staff regarding food, and any other technical support for the event.
The promotional idea came up with an explanation of how the event would work. In exchange for a piece of clothing, you receive a token worth a "new" piece of clothing of your choice.

The second promotional video aimed to promote DJ Andres and its sustainable business, AC Jungle, in exchange for having him play at the event. The business aligned with our sustainable purpose and Andres was able to promote his business and his music.

The party was a success, selling out all the tickets, swapping 159 fashion items and saving:
